What to expect during a session?
During your first session, you will be greeted by our Reiki Master and Teacher, Kimberly. You will complete an intake form, after which Kimberly will explain what to expect and answer any questions you may have. For the session, you will lie down fully clothed on a massage table, wrapped in a warm, cozy blanket. If you prefer to receive Reiki while sitting due to discomfort, please inform Kimberly and she will accommodate you. You'll still enjoy the same benefits in a seated position, with a session lasting 20 to 30 minutes instead of the usual hour. With your eyes closed, the practitioner will gently place hands on different areas of your body. You may feel sensations such as warmth, coolness, energy shifts, slight movement as blocked energy is released, tingling, or perhaps no sensation at all. Each Reiki session will be unique, offering different sensations, and you may find yourself so relaxed that you drift off to sleep.
