Welcome to Healing Wellness Path!
In this blog post, I will present two new services that I have recently incorporated into my business, as well as provide useful advice on alleviating itchy and swollen skin caused by mosquito and bug bites. Also, see below for upcoming classes.
Excited to introduce my new service in Clinical Aromatherapy, I have completed a 475-hour post-secondary program specializing in this field. Throughout my training, I have assisted over 30 clients with various issues ranging from skin irritation to pain management.
Clinical Aromatherapy involves the skillful use of essential oils to help alleviate symptoms. It is crucial to work with a Certified Aromatherapist who understands the significance of proper dilution and is well-informed about which essential oils are compatible or incompatible with specific medications.
Essential oils are intended to complement conventional medical treatment and should not be seen as a substitute for professional advice from your doctor or healthcare provider.
I am thrilled to introduce a new service called "Wellness Coaching." Wellness Coaching involves providing support to individuals facing challenges in their lives.
My areas of expertise include stress management and women's health and wellness. Through my own experiences, I have witnessed the detrimental effects that stress can have on the body, mind, and spirit.
Healing Wellness Path provides a 3-month package that gives you the opportunity to collaborate with your Wellness Coach. This package consists each month of 2 one-hour sessions, 2 follow-up phone calls (or Zoom meetings) lasting half an hour in duration, and the opportunity to delve into supplementary modalities offered at Healing Wellness Path that could enhance your healing journey. Aromatherapy service is offered in-person or virtually.
In upcoming newsletters, I will share what is new in the holistic field, offer valuable tips, announce any updates or upcoming classes, share essential oil recipes, and more...
Insect Bites and Stings - How Aromatherapy Can Help!
During the summer months, insect bites and stings are common due to the varying weather conditions. Mosquitoes can be particularly bothersome, buzzing around you as you go about your day or relaxing by a fire in the evening.
If you find yourself dealing with itchy and inflamed mosquito bites, consider using Lavender hydrolat (hydrosol) for its soothing properties. Lavender essential oil, Lavendula angustifolia, has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, and bactericidal properties that can help relieve itchiness and inflammation while preventing infections. I recommend diluting it at 1% to 2% in a carrier oil of your choice.
Another effective option is Witch Hazel hydrolat, Hamamelis virginiana, which can reduce redness, rashes, itchiness, and soreness caused by insect stings.
